This traditional split-level home was completely reimagined into a clean, modern residence with improved flow, light, and livability. The transformation began with the removal of the existing gable roof, making way for a full third-story addition featuring clerestory windows that introduce consistent natural light throughout the home.
The main floor was fully opened to create a connected, light-filled living environment, while a newly constructed rear stair tower expanded the home’s footprint and supported the updated layout. The kitchen was designed with simplicity and function in mind, anchored by a striking waterfall island and complemented by expansive glazing that draws natural light deep into the space.
Thoughtful architectural details, including built-in shelving within the stair tower, add both utility and visual interest. The result is a bold, cohesive reinvention that demonstrates how a dated structure can be transformed into a modern, highly functional home.
