Mark began working in the construction industry in 1998 while in Louisiana when the Commercial diving industry slowed down. After becoming a father, he and his wife Heidi decided to move back to Washington to be closer to family. He continued to work in the construction industry gaining experience from several commercial and residential companies. Armed with his experience and "people pleasing" attitude, Mark started Trustmark Contracting Solutions in 2000. In the seven years before partnering with Jeff and starting Woodmark Homes, LLC, Mark has completed many custom bathroom and kitchen remodels, additions, and whole house remodels and has made some long term friends in the process. His passion for construction, extensive knowledge and years of experience have made Woodmark Homes, LLC the successful business that it is today. Mark truly enjoys working with each client and bringing their project to fruition. He still loves the challenge that construction brings to his life and always says, "if you can give me a picture I can build it."
Jeff took a much different path into the construction industry. His journey started with a tour in the Navy, and then a Degree in Accounting. He then became a Certified Public Accountant and worked at several local accounting firms, but his heart was in construction. Jeff and his wife would buy houses in their spare time and remodel them, doing much of the work themselves. After buying two homes and selling three in one year they realized this was becoming more than hobby. So Jeff got a real estate license and talked his long time friend "Mark" into building a new house with him.
As the son of a small business owner growing up in Oregon Jeff gained an appreciation for the rewards of owning your own business. It was these experiences that lead Jeff to leave his corporate job as a finance director for a fortune 500 and start Woodmark Homes, LLC with his long time friend Mark Beard. When Jeff is not working he enjoys family time, camping, and gardening with his three girls.
